This is a Red Mallee burl cap I turned a long time ago but hadn't posted anywhere that I can remember. Thought some here might be interested. Makes a great gift idea for the holidays.
The two posts at the back center are business card holders. There is a small recess under the center hollow that has a rare earth magnet glued in to hold the paper clips. The magnet is positioned about 1/8" under the hollow and holds pretty well.
It's finished with shellac and poly. I believe most of the hardware came from Craft (like I said, it's been a while).
