    Those are on NHK, they are kind of a commercial, each is made by various groups of university students. There is no real reason, it is just an expression of using your mind and various small, but ingenious ideas.

    What is said is Pitagora Suicchi (Pea tah go rah Sue ee chi) Which is Pythagoras Switch

    These are kind of the opening credits for the show, which is a sort of educational show, just 15 minutes long, aimed at kids, and it emphasizes the sciences.

    I often don't bother following YouTube links, since way too much time can be lost to the original, and then the ton of others I wind up following.

    I decided to check this one out, since I've always loved Rube Goldberg stuff.
