    What Me Worry?

After sporting a black eye for half of the summer and a big knot on my head from a cherry log, I thought to myself; this sport isn't dangerous enough.

For tonight's adventure I thought I would try it in the dark. What could go wrong? Actually, nothing flew and it sure is neat to see that fiber optic light through the cherry.

Huh? Are you doing that to be able to assess wall thickness? Had you partially hollowed the form (and completed the outside) before you embarked on this little adventure?

Was it really dark or just dim with the light inside the form

Heck if you want adventure, why not just close your eyes?

    Jay,

You are correct. I did it for wall thickness after hollowing out the inside. It was dark except for the fiber optic light.

Don't know how I missed this post Pete, but man, that's some cool-looking wood. When you were shining the light on the inside, I'm assuming you were making finish cuts on the outside. It this correct?
