    Bosch Colt and Bosch Jigsaw

    Hi All,

Rockler has an add for a single-speed Bosch Colt router and a Bosch 1587 VS variable speed jigsaw. $150 for the pair.

Since I do not have a small router and since my inhereted Craftsman jigsaw blade flops back and forth about a 1/4", this looks apealing.

Any reason I should not buy them?

    Enjoy,

    Jim

    Jim,

    http://www.amazon.com/Grizzly-G8994Z.../dp/B0000DCZLD

    and

    http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-PR20EVSK.../dp/B000ANQHTA

    Not much of a savings.

Have you thought of looking on Craigs list for used... Sometimes you can get really good bargains for almost new tools.

    Jim,

I have heard good things about the Bosch Jigsaws. I know that their routers are generally well respected too.

I guess I should add that I have Bosch 1617EVS routers and a Bosch 1590 Jig saw...all which I am very pleased with. Bosch make good stuff.

The router and saw go for about $220 at Amazon so that sounds like a great deal if you need both. If you are lacking justifications for needing both, I'm sure the folks here can help you!

I have both. The jigsaw is GREAT!!

If you have $150 just do it. The 1st time you use either of them you will just smile.

I think you will be well pleased with them both,as mentioned before Bosch makes great tools. You would have to fight me to get my Bosch 1590VSK jigsaw away from me.

The Rockler price is about a $50 savings from what I can see. If I needed the two tools, I'd jump on the deal.

I did a quick Google search on the Bosh 1587 and clicked on the first Amazon listing that came up.....but it was, unnoticed by me...for the Griz.

    Off to the corner...
