    Just thought I'd drop by...

and introduce myself. I mostly am a turner but have been a little tied up on flat work lately. I've been turning almost 4 years and general woodworking not much longer than that.
Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.
Many of the names are familiar from around the web but a whole lot of new ones too.
I'll get some pics up... when I actually get some new work done.

Now, Bob, sounds like you don't like us turners--or just tolerate us. But you have it all wrong--us turners just tolerate you flat-workers.

Hubby and I had a conversation with Jesse Cloud Sunday night about lumber (he and LOML do flatwork--I turn when I can get to the lathe) and how wonderful it is that trees can provide the materials and inspiration to both--the straight-grain lumber from the trunk, the burls and figures from the rootball and the crotches. Isn't Mother Nature great?
