    Expanding Collet Chuck ??

Has anyone ever used one of these or a similar one? Seems like a good deal for smaller turnings.

I bought one of these a while back, but haven't used it yet. I just wanted to make sure that you check out the official [Penn State Industries page] on this item before you buy it; the first photo on the Amazon page has an extra who-knows-what in the picture....

Even looking at the PSI page, I believe that you only get one "chuck body", not two as pictured. I guess they just wanted to show how the conversion from expanding chuck to screw chuck looks.

Kerry, I did see it on PSI's website first...I think the Amazon site shows the #2MT one as well. I assumed the screw chuck cam with it? Maybe not.

You got a tool "awhile back" and haven't used it? I don't understand that...

Jeff, I think ''a good deal'', with saving 25 bucks.

The screw certainly comes with it, but I believe you pull the expanding part off of the main shaft and then install the screw in its place.
