More birdie ornaments.

Each is 2" high. Bodies are cherry, and maple. Tops and perches are Walnut. The perches were turned to 3/16" x 1". Talk about nerve-racking!

Thanks for peeking!

Thanks, folks!

Dale, I 'hollow' the blanks with a 7/8" forstner bit and expansion grip the rim with #1 step jaws. They're a perfect fit.

Bill, don't thank me. I believe I stole... uh, got the idea from Bernie.

Now, did Bernie steal...um, get the idea from Curt, or was it the other way around? Or was that the bells? No wait. I stole the bells from Curt. Oh yeah, and the big birdhouse. I most definitely stole the big birdhouse. :p

Regardless (or despite, or because of) the provenance, I really like the ornaments, Neal. :D

Great looking ornaments Neal! I like the color combinations! Like you, I also managed to make a few of the 'Bernie Style' ornaments. They are a lot of fun! Nice work!

Durn, now that you mention it I don't know either! I'd say both deserve the credit (or blame). They've both definitely inspired me to get into ornament turning.

And I was just about to send a royalty check to Bernie. Oh well.
