I don't have jointer so, I make my glue lines with the hand held router....
I know that you are going to say "router table with split fence" but, it never worked for me good so I reverted to the more "idiot proof" method that gives me 100% success in one Schnit (German for cut...like with Machete)
To make it easy and fast to locate the fence I made "Locators".
Usually, I'm setting the Locators to remove 1/64"~1/32" and one pass is enough.
As you will see on the pics, I'm jointing the boards in opposite faces but, if you are sure that your router base is exactly at 90° to the bit (that you can find by making small test), you can joint the boards from the same side.
