    Several bowls in progress........

    I guess this would be the first step?

    Someone on Craig's List offered this Texas mesquite tree to any "craftsman" that wanted it for something more than firewood.
    I guess that was me!

    Just for reference, the chainsaw is an 18" model.

    That's horrible, Robert. Just horrible. You lucky dog. Looks like a beautiful haul. The grin on your face alone should keep you warm for the winter. Congrats on a good find.

    Not to go astray, but how is retirerment in the land of warmth Barry? I cut the tree in a t-shirt at 7 am this morning!
