    Latest finished product

My son and his better-half had their first baby yesterday!
Dylan Addy was born at 4:52pm. The fit and finish came out perfect!

We've already got two grandkids on my wife's side but this is my first. He allowed me a few minutes out of his busy schedule this morning to get pics. This is at about 18 hours old.

I may be lost but I'm making good time!

Looks good Neal. What finish did you use? Looks like it's smooth as a baby's cheek.

Congrats, Granddad! Pretty nice Christmas present.

I was going to use shellac but he smelled like he had something on him already.

Notice that overhand grip? A born turner.

    Congratulations, Neal!!
He's a real cutie. Now get out in the shop and turn a nice rattle for him. Remember to show us pictures of him holding the rattle. After all you'll want to show off Dylan as much as the turnings now.
