Oil
No mask, but I did drive away fast. I added oil into the top reservoir, turned lathe on and oil was coming out of both sides. Bad seals? I did not know what type of oil to use, went with 3in1 penetrating oil. Is this correct oil? Thanks

The bearings are similar to the bearings in the front of a rear wheel drive car. Pack them with wheel bearing grease.
My lathe is the same as yours & thats what I did & it works fine.
