    Bosch 1297 1/4 Sheet Sander – Clearance'd

I stopped into HD as I was passing by to pick up some weather stripping for a garage project. As usual they didn’t have what I needed but they were blowing out this Bosch 1297 for $25. They’d lost the case. What will I ever do without another blown plastic box that I don’t need? Cool part is that my 1295 vacuum adapter fits right on. My old Makita wouldn’t accept a vacuum.

Sweeeeeet deal Glenn. Be sure to give a review after you have given it some use.

    Bosch CS, great as usual

Just a follow up. As I got the sander at a blow-out, it came with no case which is fine. It also didn't come with the little punch plate for the paper to allow dust collection. I just figured I'd make one but contacted Bosch just to see if they were available. They are but the price is a bit steep so I passed.

This showed up in the mailbox today, unexpected and no charge.

The sander is very smooth and seems like a nice solid little tool. Easy to control and smooth motion-pattern. I'll be able to do a better review once I get to test it with the vac hose on . . . don't want to be unfair.
