thanks. the body is roughly 1 1/8 diameter by 1 3/4 tall. roof is about 1 1/2 diameter at the bottom by 2" tall. perch went into a 1/8" hole. followed a book by dick sing. stand ia a 1/8" tig welding rod formed and powder coated black. birdhouse went to spain a couple years ago. one more week and i get rid of this immobilization sling and then therapy starts. hope to be turning by march.

I have a big chunk of cedar that I want to turn one out of. But I want it for use on the front porch, so I mine won't look at as nice probably. I have read that Wrens are the the only(??) bird that will build in swaying nests. I have Wrens all around the house and I have always liked watching them. So I want to fire up the lathe and turn one. See if I can coax one to build in it.
