Same here. Even though I'm fairly entrenched in MS products, I'd like to see some of the presentations (and I seldom turn down good food, especially free good food).
I did see one of the people I knew from USENIX, she works at Google and was working on this open source event, go figure...so I shmoogled with her a bit, but mostly with the KDE developers, I'm working on the OpenSolaris port.
Curious, are you working on OpenSolaris on your own, or is that your job? (which company?) I've been babysitting Sun boxes for over 15 years. Well, I was up until 2 months ago when I was downsized out. Not a whole lot of sun options here in SW Ontario these days, it seems.
Usenix is great, I used to go to the Usenix LISA conference almost every year. Tons of great info gets presented at those conferences.
