    Is James Krenov dead?

Sorry to bring this issue, but I heard that JK died on 14th April 2007.

Is that true? I've searched on the web and I've found nothing respect to that.

Can someone tell me wheter is he alive or not? and what about his wife Brita?

    Thanks
    Best regards,
    Toni

    Toni,

James is alive and well, he has a website and even lists his phone number. He is retired from furniture making due to failing eyesight, but still makes handplanes, currently he is asking for no futher orders as he has been overwhelmed with requests.

Thanks Heather, I'm glad to know that.
I've got to check where I got that idea from.
    Best regards,
    Toni

Good to know he is still around.

    Heather, welcome to the Family!

Ah; so he's gone from being [The Impractical Cabinetmaker] to being "The Strictly Practical Handplane Maker"?

Thanks to all for the warm welcome, makes me feel like I will fit in here pretty well, did not realize that so many folks would spot my first post on this site.
