    stacking or standing

Ive noticed that most lumber yards stand their lumber. I would have thought that stacking would be a much better way to store wood for long periods of time.

My question s does it make any difference which way you store wood, standing or stacking?

    What are your prferences?

No, not all of SoCal is Los Angeles!
I would prefer standing if I had the room. Much easier to sort through. Most lumber I buy rough comes in 10 to 12 foot lengths and horizontal, on the wall, up near the ceiling line works in my space.
