lacquer over mahogany

Ab-so-lutely the perfect finish for Mahogany. :thumb: After the first coats, buff with a fine paper and fill the pores with Paste Wood filler of the correct color. The allow to dry and re-buff off revealing a smooth surface, then finish coating with Lacquer for a glass like finish.

Can somebody recommend a good clear grain filler for mahogany. I want to fininsh the wood in its natrual look, no stain, than use lacquer to cover.

I tried Behlen water based but I didnt like the results.

Thanks in advance.
