I received these photos from a relative asking a few questions about the history of this cabinet maker that I can't find the answers to. My best guess about the lead lined drawer is that it was used as an ice drawer to chill wine.

We have recently acquired a buffet server. Inside both cabinet doors is an oval brass nameplate with name "George Davis, cabinet maker and upholsterer, Plymouth." Can you identify the maker. Any information or lead would be appreciated. The pictures below show the unit and door detail. There is a pullout drawer lined with what appears to be very thin lead sheeting; the purpose of which has me puzzled.
Thank you for any information you might be able to provide.
