Extreme Birdhouses #35,36,37,38

Hi everyone , Here are a few pics of my latest extreme birdhouses .
They are made from 90 - 120 year old reclaimed barn wood and
are roughly 30" square and weigh about 70 lbs each.
I have to build these in the house until things warm up a little .

How long does it take you to make one of the birdhouses? I would imagine you've been doing this for quite some time. Are they actually usable?

Seeing the doghouse in the background of the eighth picture, I can't help but wonder if your dog get jealous. The birds get these world-class accommodations, but the dog just gets the stock plywood doghouse.

Thank you everyone for the nice replies.

MJ : This size of house takes about 2-3 days to build .I used to build real houses for almost 25 years so building these are much easier. The birds don,t waste anytime moving in them. They fill up fast.

I can't believe how quickly you make them. Imagine what you could do for your dog's house? -- Seriously, I've seen luxury doghouses advertised locally and on home remod shows. People buy them up, and they sell for a mint.

Thanks again MJ , I have seen a few dog houses that were in the $ 6,000 range and i could easily do them for a third of that price. :type:
