    First Board

I was showing my wife Vaughn's work on his website and she asked if I could make her something like one of his.

    Here is my attempt.

    Thanks for looking.

Great job, Randy. I like the combination of woods you chose.

Randy, That's a very nice board. What woods did you use? Looks to be walnut and maple, but the narrow ones appear to be of another type. Just curious what it is.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the thin strips are purple heart and yellow heart.

Vaughn has them right. It was a fun project to build. I want to do an end grain one next.

Hope everybody had a good Easter holiday.

Rule #1, Don't show wife Vaughn's Website unless you want to jump to rule #2.... Attempt to Duplicate Vaughn's good works.

Looks like you scored well on both accounts.

Attempt is the key word here, and you did very well.

    Good Job!
