    Waste not want not.

Couple of scraps of yew that nearly ended up in the burner but decided the wood was too pretty to waste. Zippo is normal size.

Very nice Pete, would be a shame to throw this wood into the fireplace.
It's very small, but you made something nice out of it. I like it a lot.

Very nice, Pete. I especially like the one on the right.

Hey, if you're running out of wood, maybe it's time start patrolling the neighborhood for fallen trees.

When compared to the Zippo for size, the delicacy of these two pieces becomes very obvious!! I wouldn't even try something like these. Very nice!!

    cheers

    Thanks for the comments guys,

I have plenty of wood at the moment, beech and yew, and there is quite a bit lying around the neighbourhood as well.

I find making these little pieces very satisfying though as it can be quite difficult getting the proportions right. Plus they are quick to make when you haven't got much time.
