    Embedding pictures

I distilled Vaughn's tutorial into step-by-step directions. I have no problem uploading pictures, but I fail to grasp the instructions for embedding them in text.

    I opened a new post.

I clicked on the paper clip and uploaded 5 pictures.

I wrote the text, placed the cursor where I wanted a picture, and clicked on the name of the picture from the list. That simply opened the picture but did not add the attachment code to the text.

    What did I do wrong?

Hey Carol, take a look at these pics, I think it will be a little easier to understand......

After you have clicked on the paper clip, and uploaded the pics, then you can insert the pics in line in your post.

put the cursor where you want the pic, and then click on the paper clip again....... then, click on the pic you want (I find it easier to use descriptive names, not just numbers etc)

When you click on the pic you want, then you will see the text showing the attachment in place.

If you hit the "Preview" button, you will see a thumbnail of the pic you have inserted in line with the text.

    Hope this helps!
