    A Couple of Bowls

I finished a bowl for Gary's mother tonight along with another small bowl.
    Gary is my wood guy.

The first one is rock maple and is 4 by 4.

The second is box elder and is 5 by three.

    Any comments welcome.

Both are beautiful. My favorite is the second one.

How did you darken the top edge?

Very nice, Pete. I like the coloring of the first and the accent lines on the second.

Very nice Pete. I also like the black accented rim on the spalted elder.

I like the second one the best, but they are both nice. That is some good looking wood.

Both great! Wheter one likes one or the other is a matter of taste and that's very particular to each one of us.
    Best regards,
    Toni

    Hi Pete,
I like both very much. The subtle curve and the way you turned in the curve on the rim draws my attention closer on the first piece.

    Thanks for sharing.
