Very Old, Very Heavy Drill Press...useful?

I came across this on a local CL this evening and really can't make much out of it except that it is old and heavy. Anyone know anything about this particular model and if it would be particularly useful in a wood hobby shop over a standard drill press?

    Thanks,

    Frank

$40.00 and works? Yes, useful. At that price, you can set up as a single/special purpose tool. Or clean up and resell at a profit.

I e-mailed about it before I posted it on here. The reply came back saying that it was already gone. Man, that was quick!

That looks like a metal working machine to me. But that "appeared" to be a great price for a working drill press like that.
God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do,
and the eyesight to tell the difference.
