My brother in law told me his neighbors took down a tree, he didn't know what kind and they weren't home to ask so I'm not sure what kind of wood this is, but it sure turns nice and I got a big load of it!

Bowl is about 4" high and 9" at its widest. Had to glue a small portion of the bark. Finish is once again watco danish oil. I turned this about a month ago all at one time. It has warped a little, but not that much.

Very nice Jeff, is this a ''knokle scaring'' job, anyway something to be aware of ?

Real nice, Jeff! Very interesting color in that wood. :)
Do the photos show the color accurately?

Gord, the second pic does show the color accurately...maybe just a little less yellow than in the first one though. Otherwise right on.

Ad, I do have a scar on one of my fingers from this bowl. I ended up putting painters tape on the corners so I could see them better after the knuckle boo boo.
