    Snow Day Today....

    Anyone else snowed under today?

No work for me here in London (Southwestern Ontario) today.

Half an hour of hard shovelling and I haven't even made it to the street yet. 3/4 of the job is still ahead. Good thing I'm not in a hurry to go anywhere. The University closed, so my outfit is shut down also. ALL schools are closed.

The snow was at 18-20" deep across the driveway.

    Stay warm!

We had some last week, but just a few inches. Still unusual for Seattle so early. Looks like lots of fun for the kids. Nice to have a day off too, I guess...

Is this normal for your area as far as when and how much?

    Art,

Better you than me out in that stuff. I can't help but think of one of the two youngsters I trained as firefighters from the London area. One stayed here, and the other (who's father was a London Fire Inspector) returned. Jody, the one who went back is a working firefighter in that area and I really feel for him on days like you have pictured, since as you know firefighters don't get snow days.

    Greg,

Well, a couple big storms a year are "normal", but pretty rare to have it this early in the season. This'll probably melt over the next few weeks. Maybe.

I wish we got that kind of snow. I know, I know, you people think I'm crazy.
