Eggsercise in Patience

Clay Foster recently demonstrated his techniques to our guild, one of which was applying egg shells for decoration. Our last meeting's 'challenge' was to turn something that you learned from Clay, so I decided to try a lidded egg-shaped box.

I first turned the parts: four in total....

Then I applied the eggshell...As the post implies, you need a lot of patience to do this!

"Are the shell fragments covered with anything after you glue them in place?"

After gluing the eggshell pieces, I used a fine tile grout to fill in the gaps, buffed it off, then ran it through the Bealle system.
