    John,

    Beautiful box. What is the light colored wood around the opening? Really complements the dark walnut. What finish did you use on the box? Also, can you post some pictures showing the inside of the box?

    Thanks for the info and the pictures. I'd be tempted to leave the silver like it is. It's a great look. Good use for a nice piece of walnut.

    Very nicely done, the cherry accents were not to fix a mistake, they were a "Design Opportunity"

    I think the cherry bits look like you meant to do that........and that is the story I'd tell

    The silver will just tarnish over time, so leaving it like is, certainly is an option.
