That is a bowl factory in Holland, MI. That's about a 30 min. drive for me. Personally, I don't know how they make money if they keep them oval. I don't know if the sanding in the video took that ll out, but I doubt it. They must be cheap enough to make the poor shape irrelevant.
Well, they must sell them quite cheap, and they are being made in US. Just imagine the same factory in China.
I felt really sad when I saw so much good wood wasted in such a soulless items.
The worst part comes when people expects to pay the same price for something that has been made with lots of love, thougt and respect for the material
