    Maple platter

This is from a 4/4 maple board and some scraps of mystery wood from a woodcraft grab bag box and a little 1/8" walnut. It ended up 12.5" dia by 3/4" thick. The dark line along the glued in piece is an ambrosia beetle track. Finished with danish oil and buffed. Top and bottom view.

Cool use of scraps, Curt. I've been playing around with a copy of the photo, trying to decide which way the stripe should go. It has a lot of different looks just by rotating it and changing the stripe's location.
