    Friction Polish

Has anyone here mixed their own friction polish similar to Mylands? Is there anything in it except shellac and bees wax?

I'd like to try mixing my own as I think it would be quite a bit cheaper than Mylands but I don't know the exact ingredients. Anybody have a clue?

Never tried it, but a quick Google found this. Not sure if it's helpful or not.

Cody.....I have almost quit uising Mylands. I friction Zinnser's Seal Coat dewaxed shellac on the lathe and then if I want I wax using my Beal buffing system. I can buy a gallon of Zinnser's much cheaper than a gallon of friction polish and to my eyes it works just as well.

    Thanks guys.

Thank you especially, Bill. That's exactly the sort of info I was looking for.
