Wedding day!

Sorry folks, I've not been around the forum much lately, I've been busy helping my son getting things around for his wedding which was yesterday.:thumb:

He and his bride had a outdoor wedding in a nearby park. My cousin did the officiating and I along with my other son were co-best men, there were 4 other "groomsmen" and of course the ladies we escorted down the aisle. Ringbearers and flower girls always steal the limelight, they are so darn cute.

I gave a speech which was hard holding back the emotions, but got through it without so much as a crack in my voice.....it was tough, I was sure the tears of joy and happiness would flow during my speech.

If anyone wants to see pics I'd be happy to put them on this thread, or start a new one when I get the pictures back.

It was a beautiful day with about 250 friends/guests attending. In attendance was our own Mr. & Mrs. Larry Merlau :thumb:

It rained early, but the skies cleared up for the event.

Things should be getting back to "normal" now.....whatever "normal" is/was....

Congratulations to newly weds and to the parents and family!

Pics?.....Please....especially if you got one of larry "all cleaned up".

Steve, congratulations with the wedding of your son.
It's always an emotional but also a beautiful day for the whole family, a day you will never forget.

Congrats, Steve! It must feel pretty good! :thumb:

None of my sons are married yet. But I've got my speech for the first one all prepared. It's gonna start with "Now he's *her* problem!" ;)

Hey, wait a minute! NO PICS? And Larry's your only witness???? Did this actually happen? ;)

Thanks,

Bill

Congrats to the whole Ash clan :thumb:

Hey Steve, now you should have plenty of time to get at that "Honey To Do List" :D :D :D

Glad you made it through your speech. That is a hard thing to do when you're that proud and happy.

I trust Larry was a good boy.:D I'm sure Randi drove home, eh?

son's wedding day

Since my son is only 2 I guess I have a little time to work on a speech. He has already provided me with more than enough material. Can only imagine the pride you must have felt standing there watching him in what will probably be remembered by him as one of the happiest days of his life. It certainly was for me.
