Box Swap Time!!! BOXES ARE ON THE WAY!!!

I don't know about you other participants, but I'm not even 'half-way' thru completing all 32 boxes ...and that bit about them all having
to fit inside each other to ship, is taxing my math skills to the max.

The rules weren't real clear about it, so I'm just sending a box with photographs of 31 other boxes inside. Easy peasy. :D

I don't remember seeing the finish/ship date for the boxes, has that been set??

From Tom's post #46 in this thread:

"I will say that the deadline for box completion and to be shipped will be March 31st to be sure all will have plenty of time to finish current projects and have time to do their box."

Absolutely, sign your box:thumb: make any box you want, try to keep it able to fit in a flat rate box. It can be a flat box, a turned box, any combination you wish. If you wish, PM me and I will let you know who your box is for, some folks have already requested that:thumb: If you do not want to know in advance I will PM addresses 1 week before the ship date which is March 31st. Beyond that there really are no rules except you must make and ship a box. This is an incredible turn out for this swap and am happy there is such a wide range of people and skills here. Use this as a skill builder and make a box to the best of your ability. No matter what I am positive we will have 32 fantastic boxes:D:thumb: Have FUN!!! that is what these are about. Well one half hour and I will close the enlistments:)

This is from post 194 which are the simple rules:thumb :and thanks glenn for the assist:):thumb: Please feel free to ask any question on this either via posting or PM:) So are ya all almost done:eek::D

Man re-reading my response, it sounds like I am yelling, I'm not, sorry bout the highlights :p

Sheesh, Tom...chill a bit, wouldja? It's just a box.

BTW, does anybody know when the deadline is for the box swap?

I haven't started mine yet. I've made a few trips out to the woods, but haven't yet found a suitable OSB tree to harvest.

I know I am such a....a.... well:p ya I re-read that and edited, even though it does not show an edit:huh:, must be too quick on the keys. So just so it is seen, the dead line is March 31st:D:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Ran outta 16 penny nails but I'll stop at the BORG on the way home from work and get a fresh supply . . . . I should be done in no time. :thumb:

16 penny? Are you kidding? At least I used 10 penny. :thumb:

I used to work for an oil company. This company was a drilling company in the old days, and in the 30's and 40's they used to build their own wooden rigs. If a guy could drive in a 10 Penny Nail in 2 strokes, he could get a job on the rig. The main guy would go into a bar in Louisiana and say, "I'm looking for men who wear a size 44 Jumper and size 6 Hat. I do all the technical work myself".

Wearing a jumper :huh::huh::huh::huh:
If he was wearing one of those I doubt he would be working on an oil rig :rofl:

need an extension i have ran outa wood cut it three times and its still to long.. so will need to post pone the shipping til after the storms hit so i can get another log to cut into the lumber...

All the pieces are cut and labeled on the ends (so it won't show when completed). Nothing in the rules about the sender having to assemble the box is there? Once I got the pieces cut, thought it might be easier to just type out the instructions for assembly!;):D:rolleyes::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Good point, Jonathan! Makes shipping easier, too!:rofl:

Oh yeah: What about sanding - or finishing? Are those 'optional,' too? :D:D:D
