Greetings from the noob!

Welcome Dennis thanks for joining our forum and sharing your work. You are way way way way way above my skill level and its great to be able to see work like yours. I hope you share how you do some of it with us so we can learn a tad.

Absolutely beautiful guitars and photography. How does one get to actually play one of those they look like untouchables. :)

Oh. My. Goodness.

Those guitars are gorgeous, Dennis. I particularly like the looks of the one with the chamfered edges. How does that seem to affect the sound?

We don't have any pro luthiers here that I know of, although Alex Reid built a very nice one in his spare time a while back. Lots of guitar player here though, including me.

And welcome aboard. I'm betting we can learn a lot of good stuff from you about woodworking in general. You've obviously got a broad range of skills. :thumb:

Hi Vaughn
Thanks! The arm and rib rest bevels don't take way much in terms of tone, It is very subtle. Also great to see the threat with Alex, good to know there are others who do the same thing.

Thanks Rob,

I will post some build pictures, Maybe the next one i do. In regards to how to get one to play, In person or if you are at a trade show like the one that just passed at the Montreal guitar show in Canada. I used to sell in stores across Canada and some into the USA, but now i deal mostly with the one on one. There is a store in the UK that will be carrying them soon.
Most of my contacts are through another forum that is just for guitars.

Welcome to the Family Dennis! Outstanding work--do you play a well as you build?

Thanks Ron, I play guitar, but Im a better builder than a player. When building, there just seems to be now time to play much. I would think this is the case with most builders, but I know there is the exception for those who were accomplished players before they started building.

Welcome to the family Dennis!

Have to wipe the drool off the keyboard after seeing your work. Do you have a website?
Hey Darren, Im glad you were able to wipe the drool up without damaging the computer, I don't want to be the blame for that. I do have a web site and it is being worked on at the moment. The pictures that are up on the site are not in any way like the one's I posted. They are horrible attempts on my part to try and portray the guitars, so Im having mostly all the pictures removed and new one's put up. I will also have a lot of other things changed as well at the same time. If you check the site out now, keep in mind it will get better.
That said, If any of you see the web site after the changes and want to give input to make it better, feel free to give advice.

Ahhh....Dennis...?? I would point out that I said things could get crazy. I did not mean to imply that I was. Crazy, that is. As for JimB, well, you will soon discover if you spend even just a few days here. This is an eclectic group, but loveable.
