I JUST BECAME A TRUCK OWNER!

all this ford talk and then bob brings up a gm truck.. i have seen the ford rangers do some real good work.. and my old 94 silverado hasnt hurt me a bit at 250k miles now. but its showing her age.. dont know whee i will be next vehicle used use station wagons like trucks and done well with them but they stopped making them:)

I'm guessing the wait for the new vehicle is a Canadian thing? Here in the States, we typically drive it away (with a temporary plate) the day we sign the paperwork.

Well, I bought it 100 km. away, on a Thursday before a holiday weekend. Otherwise I could have probably picked it up sooner. Some cars are safetied before they are sold, this one wasn't, but most dealerships will detail a used car before they let it go.

Nice Truck I had a 88 ranger extended cab I bought new. Only problem was it had the 2.3 L 4 cylinder. Worse mileage than the V6 and used oil (quart every 800 miles) from day one. Also owned a coupleof used bronco II's from the same time frame. Both V6 and much better power and mileage. I am sure you will enjoy it..

Hard to believe both Ford and GM have dropped the smaller trucks..

We (well grandpa) had a couple of broncos as range rigs. Had I known how they'd go up on value.. Might have taken better care of them. Sure are popular in some arras now.

And Stu... I look forward to reading about how you, in Japan, go about finding your daughter, in Kelowna, a used car.
Let me guess, you're thinking 12 year old Mazda beater, and she's thinking brand new Mini Cooper????

Well my dad is there, and I've got uncles and cousins galore, so I'm sure that someone will be able to help out with the whole "buying a car" thing. Funny, as it is my daughter I want to spend a little more and get a good reliable turn key car, I know if it was a son, I'd be looking for a late 60's early 70's pick up and I'd buy him the truck and a set of tools to fix it :D
