Here's one more i just finished. I had turned it a couple months ago, and as it had them ugly dark stans on it i let it sit on the table trying to decide what i wanted to do to it. Well this is what i came up with. The finial was just a quick one as i want to add a carved one when i decide what i want.

I like it! Sometimes black dye is a good fixer for stained or blemished wood.

I'm with Ted. I like the finial as is. I'm impressed with what the dye looks like on that piece. I have never tried dye; it looks like I should.

Thanks all. Yea i think i'm leaving it as is. The wife likes it so that's a good thing.
