Hi have seen some post on the CNC Zone and on Joe's CNC forum about them and what I have read they seem to like them. Was just looking on ebay and they are not a bad price.
Just started looking at these. Was wondering, can they be cooled with other fluids, like an RV Antifreeze? I'd be concerned about having to "winterize" the spindle for my shop.
I would not hesitate to use something like that - or even a low concentration of automotive antifreeze.
Water is the best fluid to carry away heat, so anything added to it will compromise that value.
Automotive antifreeze is designed to be used in conjunction with aluminum and with iron and plastics and non ferrous metals.
It is a rust inhibitor and something of a lubricant.
