I need to get rid of some of my magazines, my house is only so big. I have Wood Magazine issues # - 40, 41, 43, 45, 46, 48 and 94 through 192 (the latest issue). I don't think there are any missing issues btwn 94 and 192. That is roughly 104 issues. My mags are in perfect shape. $100 (that...

    Father/Daughter Talk

While tucking my 10 year old into bed a few nights ago we had a short conversation that went like this: kid - "Dad, I love my room." me - "What is it about your room that you like?" kid - "The stuff that's in it." me - "Like what? As she points to the items "The bed, the bookshelf, the...

A Place to Hold the Rock Collection...

...that's what I need to make next. While out West on my vacation I collected lots of rock samples for my 10 year old Daughter. She wants me to make her something to hold all her rocks. I was thinking of something with a couple of drawers which had compartments. I'm looking for ideas and...

    Build a Telescope

Anyone here ever build one? I saw an article in one of workshop magazines where it mentions a guy making telescopes. It got me thinking about my childhood interest of the sky and how I always wanted a scope, If it weren't too involved, time and money, I wouldn't mind making a go at building one.

    Micrometer Level Measurements

While flipping through my latest issue of Wood I found a little writeup on how to make a fixture to mount a micrometer so you can measure the height of your TS blade. Since they are mearsuring the height this implies to me that they are intending to make a hidden cut, not cutting to length. So...

    Bloodwood Hollowform

Here is one I did a couple of weekends ago. Its made of a bloodwood bowl and a birdseye maple top. I was practicing getting the bowl walls thin. Bloodwood is pretty nice to work with other than the red lathe left over. More pics here.

Last year we built this for my Daughter: For the last couple of gift giving events, birthday and Christmas, we and other family members have been giving my Doughter "stuff" to fill the house. Sorting the Members List

Is there anything that can be done to add sorting ability to th emembers list? It would be nice to be able to sort people by the different criteria, like location. Scrolling through 30 pages is a little awkward.
