Anyone know what this could be? It was shown on another forum, it is not mine, but no one on the other forum knows what it is.

I think I've seen them many years ago being used as corner protectors when banding things on pallets using steel banding. This is what is being used now.

I do believe Charles has it right on this. I've seen similar ones on pallets of ammo being loaded on C-130's.

Could well be, but doesn't look like what we used... ours were either bent metal about 1 inch on a side or plastic same size... they used the plastic ones mostly with the plastic strapping.

Those are the more modern versions. The one in the photo was much earlier than plastic and bent sheet metal, like back about 1945.

Didn't know I was of the "modern" generation... I predate WWII.
