Our son flew into KC last night from Seattle and will be driving down to the farm with our daughter and grandkids for their great grandpas birthday. I’ve got a tree swing to put up today before they arrive. I also need to setup some shooting and archery targets. The fishing poles are all in storage, so need to pickup a couple more I guess.

Glad to hear they made it back to Leroy's birthday and the holiday weekend with the rest of the family. I hope SeaTac airport was not too bad on Thanksgiving.

Heading over in a bit to deliver a toilet float valve to one of my nephews. He's in COVID quarantine so he can't go to the store to pick up up himself. Later this afternoon LOML and I are planning to go to the Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Show to browse around. It's the biggest juried show in the state every year, and even though we're not likely to be buying anything, it's always cool to look at the artists' work.

The UPS guy just dropped by the house with my early Christmas present. For years I've been wanting a decent telephoto lens for my Nikon, and last week I found a black Friday sale price on a lightly used Tamron 150mm - 600mm zoom. I'm betting I'll be spending some time in the yard this weekend trying it out.

The rest of the weekend will likely be yard stuff. I've got lawn to mow, branches to trim, leaves to bag, and dump runs to be made.

It's find the water leak under the shop slab weekend. Digging an exploratory trench around the outside of the shop where we think the water line comes in to see if we can re-rout the line up into the attic and avoid tearing up the slab. $500 to have a leak detection specialist come and find the leak for us

Spent a nice thanksgiving with son and family and daughter and family. Today working on 3d cutting board just for the heck of it.
Wednesday had go buy new washer and drier. The drier had quite and washer head several service calls on it and both 14 years old so said bite the bullet and get new pair. Delivery tomorrow hopefully. Have'nt used LOwes delivery so wait and see. Cleaned out old pair and cleaned up for new. Wife went buggy cleaning the house. Said if new appliances then they need to come into a clean home????
Weather is pleasent so shop time and maybe leaf clean up again since wind isn't blowing like crazy.
Everyon have a safe and healthy weekend. Enjoy you family and loved ones.

Thursday did Thanksgiving dinner for my wife, my stepson and me... turned out pretty good for my first effort.
Today spent part of the day working on my lathe... think one of the bearings has frozen up... but having to drill out a grub screw on the hand wheel so I can take the spindle out... broke 2 drill bits today, 3 the other day when trying to drill it out... gotta go tomorrow and try to find a drill bit that will handle harden steel in the grub screw...
tomorrow will go look for the drill bit and drop by the museum where I have my booth... they are having an open house in the market, so should at least put in an appearance.. won't stay long though, Dianne is going with me and she tires quickly... my stepson is setting up a booth there to try to sell a few of his pens...
Sunday, I get to play clerk at the museum market place.

I will be putting off what I should be doing by finding something else to do that I don't mind. But that will only work so long and I really need to get back to building two firewood racks and stacking all my firewood. We were going to make a needed dump run, but they are closed today because of the holiday.

We are going to play pickleball this Sunday. It will be first time for me since Covid hit. We started a few month before Covid and then everything got shut down. It will be a good opportunity to meet people in our new location. So far all the new people we have met are golfers and Rebecca's clay people. She is into pottery and took a local class where she met some people. That is how we classify our friends by the interests we share and first met. We have golf friends, clay friends, etc. So far no woodworking friends. As you know we tend to be an antisocial bunch who spend all our time in our shops and only come out once in the spring to check if we will see our shadow or not.
