Well took a while but she finally called apologized for taking so long to thank me.. She loved it. So at least I know she got it. She's my only granddaughter, so what can I say, she has her faults but she is a good person, works hard a being a good nurse, so I have to be proud and love her.

I have a small shop and looks like I always well. One car garage size. Believe it or not my wife sent me this. So you know why I say I will always have a small shop.. but I think she could use one too for her sewing machines, cutter and all the other quilting paraphernalia. Pretty clever

Young people today. She is in her early 20's. I have had no comment from her about it. Oh well. Even if she didn't like it it would have been nice to know she got it.

Interesting, I always thought marble was very hard.. Thanks for the info. I have only worked with soap stone so I know it is soft. I turned several thing on my lathe in soap stone. I have some alabaster also to try some day.

Maybe it is very appropriate for things going on in todays modern world. I do not understand how they got such smooth, detail with guess just hand tools. like hammer and chisel.

I firmly believe there is a peak age, than things start going the other way.. I am on the sliding side of my peak!!:oops:
