This is on the slow side of normal for us in the Liquor Shop. Fast is around 200-ish, this is a shared FLETS connection for the whole building. In my workshop which is NOT a shared FLETS connection, I see +700 in the late evenings. We do live in downtown Tokyo...

Plywood Mounted Bathroom Tiles... Not a Good Idea!

Drywall, even the water resistant stuff is not something I'd use behind tile, concrete board is my go to product. Best of luck with that, I'd rather do plumbing than drywall mud LOL. Sent from my SCV43-u using Tapatalk

Plywood Mounted Bathroom Tiles... Not a Good Idea!

Demo work us not fun LOL. This us the vent hose used, smashed almost flat, utterly useless. Most of the tiles are coming off easily, my cordless hammer drill on the hammer only setting with a chisel tip on it takes care of anything else. Getting there. Now to clean up the mess and cut...

Plywood Mounted Bathroom Tiles... Not a Good Idea!

I'm doing a renovation of an apartment, I was supposed to be doing only the floors. I found a LOT of water damage. I have to fix that before I can button up the floors, found the problem in the bathtub room. https://youtube.com/shorts/_7t1GKOjFIQ Tech tip, don't use plywood to mount bathroom...

    Undeliverable

I ordered these two items March 10th. Amazon told me on March 11th that there was a problem, and that my order was "Undeliverable". I would get a refund in 3-5 days... but ... the tracking info kept coming. Seattle WA to Windsor Locks Connecticut to Robbinsvilke NJ, to Trenton NJ to finally...

    The most difficult project

That is an interesting piece of work, I'm sure your mum would have loved it. When my dad passed a few years ago I was able to bring a portion of his ashes back to Tokyo with me, I turned an urn for them and they now reside with me in my workshop. I'm very sorry to hear of your mum's passing.

    A Basic Router Sled

Yep, I was all set to buy one, but the only ones they had at the home-center were the type that use a cord to roll and unroll the shade. Here you can see it at work... Cheers

    My Latest YouTube Rabbit Hole

Cool story Mike. I've never owned a 4wd, but we used to put tire chains on our 2wd trucks and go just about anywhere on dirt roads LOL Cheers

    A Basic Router Sled

I made a retractable cover for my slabbing rig. It's a bit of a rube goldberg machine but it works fairly well. I cut a piece of tarp that rolls out as you pull the sled along, the is rolled back up when you move the sled back to the starting point on the right. It uses a weight and some...

    A Basic Router Sled

I remembered that I have this straight bit that has a top bearing on it, but j can use it to do some slabbing for now. It us 28.5mm or 1-1/8" diameter. With this bit and the 3-1/2 hp router I can easily take a 1/4" deep cuts... :O Amazing! I modified the vacuum hose attachment to fit on...

    Dust collection system.

When I built my system I dove deep into this subject, as my shop is literally a hole in the ground, a fire would be a HUGE problem. I have never found any actual reported case of a fire in a DC system caused by static discharge, in a home workshop, the few fires that did originate in DC systems...

    A Basic Router Sled

The initial grind was not a beveled relief grind, 2/3 of the whole carbide was ground lower than the actual cutting edge.

    A Basic Router Sled

Wow, Ted, that board with the bowl in it looks great! (y) I thought I'd try one more thing on the poor quality slabbing bit, I'd try to resharpen it. I chucked the bit up in my drill press then put my #150 diamond, plate under it, I rotated it by hand and got a half circle pattern, I...

    A Basic Router Sled

I honed the crappy slabbing bit the best I could, and I switched out the PC 3/4hp router for the Hitachi 3-1/2 hp router. I took slightly deeper cuts at a faster feed rate, but I still got a lot of burning. After four light passes through the drum sander the slab looks pretty good. I'll...

    Dust collection system.

I've run my DC system with 15cm (6") PVC pipe for 16 years (has it been THAT LONG...?) and I've never, ever had any static problems. Like Darren said there are many views on this subject and maybe on a HUGE industrial setup with all-steel piping there is an argument for it, but in my 16...
