amazing, the guy who bought 2 of my fish signs (he makes and sells fishing lures), wants me to make a special sign for him. it will have the name of his company on top, walleye wrangler on the bottom, on the left side, the year he started his company, and his name on the right side. since he liked the scorched look on the other signs, he wants that too, on basswood. good things happen some days.

cut the edge off of one side of each board, and glued them up today.

took it out of the clamps and scorched it.

glued up the blank, and picked up the paint for my version. can't wait to see which he picks.

got the mk1 carved, all that is left is to add a couple of stiffeners on the back, to take the bow out of it, and hit it with some spray shellac. with the mk2, it has been carved, and painted. now all that is left, is to sand the excess away, hit it with blo, and shellac.
