A while back, I had standardized on McFeely's robertson drive screws for doing most of my projects. I had ordered a selection of different sized screws and they came with these little boxes for storing them in, along with some paper labels that fit in the slots. Well, over time, those labels got lost and I had some random handwritten labels on the boxes.

But today I decided that with my new Bambu X1C, I could do better, so I created a little blank just the right size and using a little parametric text went and generated a bunch of color coded labels. These fit nicely into the recesses and will not come out easily. The colors should help me keep the like types of screws in the right place, instead of being randomly placed back on the shelves.

Also took this opportunity to generate an order with McFeely's to replenish the screws I was running low on.

Very cool. :thumb: It'd be handy top have a QR code for easy reordering...maybe a sticker on the lower part of the bin?

That is a pretty good idea. I probably could rig up a qr code for each screw that would take you to the ordering page. I did put together a google sheet with all of them listed, but I did not record the urls. Might have to go ahead and do that, lol.
You do know that McFeeley's changes their part numbers every six months during inventory rebalancing??
LOL, All I know is that these are the numbers I've always used, and they still worked today. Guess I'll get a surprise next time I try and order replacements!

My own experience tells me that you are suffering from a severe case of Glennitus. I find that sitting calmly in a darkened room for about 30 minutes till the urges pass can help you through this difficult time.

If Only I could learn some lessons about shop orderliness from the likes of Glenn and Rennie. That picture is very closely cropped for a reason.
