Finished this one up late this morning. The diameter is 7", 3 3/4" high, 2 1/4" deep, and 3 cup volume. Did my usual of sealing with walnut oil. Buffed it with that tripoli wood buffing stuff. Did the finishing with orange oil wax. 3 coats I believe. Might have been 4. Either way it does smell good.

Pretty little bowl... don't think I've done much Mahogany... like the wood grain. Have never used Orange oil.... might have to look into that... mostly I prefer the wipe on poly... it give a hard finish and nice shine.

Thanks everybody! I usually use shellac for the finishing but sometimes I just use either walnut oil wax, lemon wax, or the orange oil wax. Just depends on what me thinks it's calling for. I actually prefer a more satin finish as the end result. It's a tad bit more natural looking to me. And, really. Come on. Why does it have to be so shiny? We ain't a bunch of raccoons ya know?
