But I've had this piece of White Oak Burl in my shop for about 10 or 11 years.... we picked it up when we got Harley, from same place, and I just never knew what I wanted to do with it... was very irregular in shape... was cut wonky.... finally decided to more or less square it up and see if I could work a bowl our of it...
The bowl turned out to be 8 inches diameter by 3 inches at the lip.... I don't measure volume as Dave Hoskins does, so can't tell you that.
Finish is sanding up to about 400, then adding an abrasive past before a coat of sanding sealer, then 3 coats of wipe on poly. The cold has slowed the drying of the finish some, but it seems to have turned out okay.
