Poster bed from early 1800s.
We turned it from a double to a Queen. Instead of using lesser grade of wood I have a few very large Mahogany boards 8 & 10 quarter. 8" extenders on the side boards and 2 4" extenders on both support head and footboard. Plus 4" extensions on both sides of the head board. A little bit of veneer repair and some decorative carving. Now to get the finish applied.

Dave I know you were talking about getting a laser at BWII. Still considering it?

That last pic of the veneer (number 6) shows some area where there is some filler between the old and new veneer. I've learned one can take pic of the area to be filled, do an automatic trace of the pic in the laser software, then cut a perfect matching piece out of the veneer for the repair. Might be a bit of overhead, but I'm sure there are lots of things you could use the laser for in doing reproductions too.

I told you guys he has Elves. That transformation is magical Dave. Beautiful work.

Glenn no telling what my elves do. You know Jarrod through me out of the spray booth a few years ago because I couldn't breath even with the pumped in air. My main work focuses on the art restoration and overseeing the projects. My input is in all vintage projects. :)
Tony my main repair guy has been bring his son in now for 4 years . He's doing some fine sanding for us during the summer months. The kid most will be a Dr. and has straight A's
