Just came back from seeing the movie. Gotta say it was danged good. Glad we went. If you are a Marvel fan, don't miss this one.
Yeah, that sounds like a good place to support. All the first-run theaters around here are national chains with no atmosphere and severely overpriced snacks and drinks.I try and support my local theater as much as I can. The one we go to is family owned and operated and is very nice inside. And, of course in the summer it has good air conditioning. You get your popcorn in real metal popcorn bowls and your drinks in plastic glasses instead of paper cups. How can you go wrong with that?
That's 'cause that the only place a movie house makes any money... most only make between 10 and 20% on the ticket sales....Yeah, that sounds like a good place to support. All the first-run theaters around here are national chains with no atmosphere and severely overpriced snacks and drinks.
I understand that, but nearly $20 for a large drink and medium popcorn still seems steep. The prices Dave posted above make a lot more sense. That's 'cause that the only place a movie house makes any money... most only make between 10 and 20% on the ticket sales....
Only problem is I'd have to leave the ranch, lol. It'll be streaming for free soon enough. We paid $14.00 for two tickets and 13.89 at the concession stand. Got to see it on the big screen for less than the Disney+. Seems to me that the big screen is a better deal.
