BOX SWAP 2013 - Boxes are showing up!!,

Mack, glad the package finally got to you. Canada is a long way off.
About twice the distance we travelled to get to Larry & Tom's in Sept.
Anyway....first I need to apologize to you. I wrote this real detailed letter explaining how the box was made, what type of wood and finish. It would have solved some of the mystery you had when you opened the package. After mailing the package I came home to find the letter still sitting here on my desk.....I had forgotten to put it inside the box.
:bang: Don't feel bad, I've had to open many packages to put the letter I had written in!
Anyway....It is my second attempt at a bandsaw box. It is made of Walnut, Cherry and Oak and finished with Danish Oil. The design changed several times until I came up with this one. It is a pretty simple box but I hope you can enjoy it.
Thanks again Tom! It is being cherished already.

I've been tracking my box like crazy. It arrived in the USA last Friday the 7th. It finally moved today to it's delivery office.

I'm more excited for that person to receive it than they are. I'll be trying to sell pens at my Wednesday Farmers Market, so I won't be here to see when they receive it!

Please like it!

well done tom.B that looks great, i think your oak was white oak tom from what i can see.. and thee women seem to be grabbing these boxes pretty regular.. lucy enjoy Macks Box:)

Another box has arrived, Thanks to Chuck Thoits for another wonderful creation. Chuck you did a great job on this and it appears that you did a lot of work to create it.
The box is cherry with a very creative use of what appears to be the sap wood that is laminated from small strips to create a very attractive pattern on the sides and ends, the top and bottom are heart wood
The box joints are a nice touch and well executed. It will go in a place to be displayed for all to see, Thank you so much.P1040486.jpgP1040487.jpgP1040488.jpgP1040489.jpgP1040490.jpgP1040491.jpg
