I'm setting up my new shop. It's in a a 12'x22' garage. I put a wall up so the shop is 12' x 14' much larger than my previous 10' x 12' shop. The rest of the garage is for storage. I put the wall up yesterday. I worked on clamp organization tonight.

Nah! In my previous shop all those clamps piled up on the floor were tucked away in a corner on a 1' section of wall. There's over 40 clamps there.

Sure it's larger than your old shop, but trust me you will fill it up rather quickly!
Don't forget your ceiling you can store a LOT of stuff on your ceilings, trust me!

Built a small workbench yesterday. I still need to sand it and add the tool tray and a vise and some bench dogs. I may also add some drawers. Pay no attention to the mess in there.

It's been a while since I have been on here. The summer has been busy. The new shop is taking shape. I got everything but the air compressor and table saw moved over in the last 2 days thanks to my son and one of his friends.
This is what it looked like this morning after a little clean up.

This is where it is now.

That is the miter saw station over to the right.

I have amazing bursts of progress when the youngsters stop by to help . Things are shaping up nicely. That is going to be a nice workspace.

I quite misjudged the amount of effort that occurs prior to moving machines in

Moving machines is not a great time but totally worth the effort.

It feels like I made some real progress on the shop today. The last few days it felt like i was just shuffling stuff around. I got some tools put up and a couple of shelves put up and got some some wood stacked on the shelves and out of the way. It got hot today so I quit working.
